PHR/SPHR Exam Study Group

Have you been considering taking the exam for your PHR or SPHR certification?   Earning the PHR or SPHR credential demonstrates to you and your organization that you are committed to a higher standard.  When you become HR certified, you show you know the most current principles and core practices of HR management.  You also become more marketable when you compete for top HR positions.  In addition, you raise your professional confidence among your staff and your peers ]

SKCHRA is pleased to offer our chapter members free study sessions to prepare for the exam.  We will meet on Wednesdays, from 6-9pm, starting March 6th and ending April 24th (eight sessions).  We will be meeting in Kent, a very short distance from Alki Bakery.

SHRM offers study materials for $695. SKCHRA members can purchase the same packet through our chapter for $495.  That’s a nearly 29% discount!  The 2013 version includes six different module booklets (plus one specifically for the SPHR test), on-line access to practice exams, flash cards and other useful materials to help you prepare for this exam.  You will need the materials for the study group, although past years packets will suffice if they are not more than three years old.

The next testing window is May 1st through June 30th.  SHRM members pay $350 for the PHR exam, and $475 for the SPHR exam.  Applications are accepted now through March 22nd and late applications will be accepted through April 19th (the late registration fee is an additional $75).  Go to www.hrci.org/ for more information.

If you are interested in either joining our study group this session, or in purchasing the study materials from our chapter at the discounted rate, please contact Shellie Brighton at either (253) 867-3322 or Shellie.Brighton@doortodoor.com for more information.  http://skchra.shrm.org/sites/skchra.shrm.org/files/SKCHRA%20PHR%20and%20SPHR%20Study%20Group.pdf
