Exciting Opportunities to Join the Board

Currently the South King County Chapter has two open Board positions.  We're looking for some outgoing HR professionals that would like a chance to join our team.  We are a medium sized Chapter that is welcoming, has over 75 combined years of HR experience and is devoted to the profession of Human Resources.

We are looking for someone to chair Workforce Readiness and Communications.

Workfoce Readiness is involved in a project with the Washington State Council to bring our Veterans back to work.  This position is also trying to break into the local college scene and engage students that are embarking on a career in HR to visit and align with our Chapter.  Diane Graber had this position previously and will be a great resource.

The Communications Chair works closely with our Newsletter Chair, Rebecca Shorrock to ensure that the newsletter is out on time.  You would also be responsible for our website, LinkedIn and sending out e-mail blasts as needed to our membership.  If you are adventurous and know how to tweet, we would love that.

If you are interested, please contact me at or call 206-276-1746.  I will provide you with a position description and we can talk about the expectations of the Board.  I realize that these are volunteer positions, but if you are certified, you are granted recertification credits for participating on the Board.  We are a fun and engaging chapter.  I look forward to hearing from some of you that have been waiting in the wings and are ready to continue building the best Chapter in South King County.
